Meet your host Elena

about the owner

Elena is the heart and soul of our homestead. A lively and caring woman, she brings decades of experience in travel and tourism to make every guest feel truly welcome. Her career began in the 1970s at the bustling Black Sea resorts, before moving to the city of Shumen, where she worked as a travel agent in Bulgaria’s main tourist agency.

In the early 1990s, Elena and her husband Joro bought the property in the picturesque village of Kyulevcha. Together, they renovated the homestead and built additional facilities, transforming it into the warm, inviting place it is today. After her husband’s passing, Elena has continued to manage the property with the help of her son, daughter, her grandson Mitko, and her brother Valyo.

With her infectious enthusiasm, tireless work ethic, and incredible sense of humour, Elena is not just a wonderful host, but also an exceptional cook. She delights in making sure her guests have an unforgettable stay, sharing her passion for Bulgarian hospitality and culture.
