The village of Kulevcha is located just three kilometres from the world-famous Madara Horseman monument. Huddled under the Madara rocks, the village has retained its authentic Bulgarian spirit. Crystal clean air and water, and the energy emitted by the rocks, make it an attractive place to visit.
Feeling the magic of this pristine village, Georgiev Tours Ltd. welcomed its first small groups of tourists at Chiflik Elena in early 1992 and continues to do so to this day. This is both long and a short time. Long when the years are expressed in days, short because all we have created with love and thoughts to make the day that people were our guests memorable.
We offer you all that you miss in the fast-paced life in the city – silence, nature’s touch, the tranquillity of rural life, delicious meals prepared from traditional Bulgarian recipes, quality drinks and rakias (Bulgarian spirits).
The peace and tranquillity will contribute to your healthy sleep and relaxation. You can enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the Madara rocks from the veranda. The village has an eco- trail on which you will enjoy the natural surrounding until you reach the Madara rocks and recharge yourselves with the energy emanating from them – the Madara Horseman is known as the 4th energy source.

Our story
Meet the owners of Chiflik Elena: a family with deep roots in tourism, preserving Bulgarian tradition and hospitality since 1994
Hello, I am Elena Georgieva, manager of Georgiev Tours travel agency and owner of the Chiflik Elena guest house.
My entire life has been dedicated to working in tourism. I began in 1966 as an administrator at a Golden Sands hotel, later worked in foreign exchange, became a tourism organiser managing Shumen’s Tourism Agency, and founded the first private travel agency in the city.
In 1994, my husband and I began building the first guest house in the region, and to this day, we continue to develop and improve it. Our hospitality, delicious homemade food, and regional folklore experiences have left an indelible mark in the hearts and minds of many tourists from Germany, France, Japan, Lithuania, Norway, and many other countries. We strive to preserve the authentic spirit of the region while blending it with the modern aspects of contemporary life. For this reason, you, our guests, are always welcome in our home.
